NAAC has been imparting a momentum of quality consciousness amongst Higher Educational Institutions, aiming for continuous improvement. Long-term developments in standards specified by an accreditation from outside is must. Still an internal mechanism for sustenance, assurance and enhancement of the quality culture of education imparted by accreditation, has become essential. Many Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) already have established the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) as a post accreditation quality sustenance activity. Therefore, in fulfilment of its Action Plan for performance evaluation, assessment and accreditation and quality up-gradation of institution, Sanjay Bhokare Group of Institutes has established an Internal Quality Assurance cell since 2016. Ever since its establishment the IQAC is actively working towards creating quality conscious environment in our institute. Since quality enhancement is a continuous process, now the IQAC is becoming a part of the institution’s system and work towards realisation of the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance. The prime task of the IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the overall performance of institutions and to assure all the stake holders about the quality and capacity building programms provided in the institution. For this, during the post- accreditation period, it will channelize all efforts and measures of the institution towards promoting its holistic academic excellence. The work of the IQAC is the first step towards internalization and institutionalization of quality enhancement initiatives. The IQAC channelizes and systematizes the efforts and measures towards academic excellence. It should not be yet another hierarchical structure or record-keeping exercise. It would be a facilitative and participative voluntary system/unit/organ of the institution. It has the potential to become a vehicle for ushering in quality enhancement by working out planned interventionist strategies to remove deficiencies and enhance quality like the “Quality Circles” in industries. Internal Quality Assurance Cell should have an internal quality assurance system, with appropriate structure and processes, and with enough flexibility to meet the diverse needs of the stakeholders. The IQAC is meant for planning, guiding and monitoring Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Enhancement (QE) activities of the colleges. The IQAC Newsletter helps disseminating the information about the information about the activities, programmes, interaction carried out by an institution for sharing the same with the stake holders, other higher education institutions and teacher education institutions to be emulated and improved for achieving best results or for getting accredited and assessed by the NAAC.
