Shri. Ambabai Talim Sanstha is an Institute of Physical Culture, very well known in Maharashtra and other States. It was started on 12th Nov 1901 at Miraj to    make the youths strong, intelligent, self-reliant and responsible citizens of India . The Sanstha went on growing and soon become an object of curiosity of people in Maharashtra. The sanstha purchased a land for it's activities and named it as 'Lokmanya Tilak Playground' in honor of Shri. Lokmanya Tilak. The Sanjay Bhokare Group of Institute, Miraj now proudly stands on precisely the same ground. So many VIP's Like Keshavji Hedgewar(1935), V. D. Savarkar(1937), Lokmanya Tilak (1920), Dr. Radha Krishnan (1954), Premnath Dogra (1955), Vinobaji Bhave ( 1958), Dr. Rajendra Prasad (1959),etc. have visited Sanstha and blessed well.
